For this production between Brutal Media and Filmax, Antaviana Films has designed around 140 SFX of great technical complexity
Lluís Danés’s new film, “La Vampira de Barcelona” has finished postproduction in our studios. Even with confinement and restrictions due to the pandemic, Antaviana Films has been able to put in place the necessary remote technology in order to finish the SFX and postproduction work in the allotted time.
Lluís Danés has created a rich and surprising universe which has been very demanding on our SFX and 3D mapping Department. The recreation of early XXth Century Barcelona has been made possible thanks to scanning paper models inside which characters move –either because we have shot them in a traditional way or because we have also scanned them like in the Opera House scenes. We’re talking more 140 SFX, some of them very complex in their 3D scanning and composition, which contribute to create a suffocating dreamlike city where reality and imagination are inevitably intertwined.
“La Vampira de Barcelona” tells the true story of Enriqueta Martí, a woman accused of kidnapping and murdering children in the agitated city of Barcelona at the beginning if the XXth century. Starring Nora Navas, Roger Casamajor, Bruna Cusí, Sergi López and Francesc Orella, the film will open in competition at the Sitges Film Festival 2020.
